Marketing your race team starts with a race team profile to get your team noticed. This profile will be the base of your marketing plan and the introduction to your portfolio. Your profile will be contributed to newspapers and magazines in your home area along with national motor sports publications, websites and e-zines. This introduces your team to your community. Plus, having your race team mentioned in a variety of publications shows potential sponsors if they join your team they will get mentioned in these and other publications.
Professional Proposals
Once we get your team noticed we begin the second part of the sponsorship search program-the Professional Proposal. Action Sports Promotions creates a unique portfolio aimed at companies sponsorship consideration. Your portfolio will be laid out so that there is a core that can be easily tweaked to suit the kind of business you're soliciting for sponsorship. To further your sponsorship chances we try to locate the marketing person in charge of sponsorship decisions. First we contact that person to see if they are interested in seeing a proposal from your team. Then from your core sponsorship proposal we prepare a proposal for that potential client and send it to them. When enough time has passed for them to have gotten your proposal and read it over we contact them again hopefully to prepare a final sponsorship contract. We also work with racers who want to make client contact themselves and racers who want over the phone advice on sonsorship or to review their proposal.
